Alex has been invited to speak at EIAS 2015 in Sweden

EIAS (Ecophon International Acousticians’ Seminar) 2015, taking place on 1-2 October 2015, is one of few events completely focusing on room acoustics. Alex has been invited to speak, sharing the latest knowledge and best practice, from the Architect’s perspective.

His paper, “A Healing Sound” explores the design elements supporting a healing environment and their influence on people’s emotions. He addresses 5 principles: the inspiring and motivating factors associated with light and sound; how movement and sound support self-esteem; how memory and sound can stimulate the senses, how materiality and sound can instil feelings of self-worth and finally how privacy and sound provides personal space.
