Hallmark Hotel North Ferriby
Alex Caruso was the Lead Consultant for the refurbishment and extension work of the old Hotel Elizabeth facilitating the conversion of the building into a four-star hotel.
The proposed development needed to consider a phased development during which the hotel remained operational. An important influencing factor was to maximise views over the Humber Bridge, working in close partnership with the interior designers, Alex Caruso created a sensitive and environmentally responsive plan in which buildings and landscape work together to achieve an exceptional guest experience from the newly designed and more prominent and inviting main entrance that incorporates the use of a lantern.
Other features of the scheme include conference spaces and an expanded restaurant and bar provision. Internal layouts of the existing buildings were partially reconfigured and redesigned to achieve greatly enhanced levels of comfort and sense of luxury. Materials were selected to be sympathetic to the existing ‘70s building yet adding character with the new interventions.

What Our Client Says
“Alessandro assisted us from inception to completion with the refurbishment of our hotel in North Ferriby including the extension for a function suite and the remodelling of the main entrance; it is all working really well and we are pleased that he persuaded us not to build a simple box. The angle and glass front to see the bridge and estuary has been very successful, he also worked very well with our Interior Designer to achieve a fantastic design fit out with great return for the business.”
