Recently, ACA has invested in Virtual Reality technology to further improve our clients’ experiences!
Specifically, the virtual reality (VR) headset and software enables clients to virtually see their project, during the design phase!
We have progressed from initial sketches to 3D visualisations and now immersive virtual reality!
Our team has rapidly embraced the new software to support innovation in simply communicating our designs.
So What are the Benefits of Virtual Reality?
Well, VR removes any ambiguity from the design process. For instance, our clients can walk the space and see the proposed design, without having to use their imagination!
Additionally, the software can simulate everything from natural /artificial lighting levels to textures and colours of the proposed materials. This produces a realistic representation of how the building will function once built. Also, clients can even explore our dementia-friendly designs with altered parameters to mimic visual and non visual impairments.
Furthermore, VR allows our clients to save time and money on their project. For example, they can make informed decisions and specify any necessary design changes before construction starts, reducing the need for expensive or last-minute amendments.
We have received initial positive client feedback and the ACA team enjoys the immersive experience of our projects as the design develops!
Virtual reality technology is part our continuous improvement strategy to achieve high quality designs.
