One of ACA’s core values is a commitment to corporate social responsibility. As such, we were keen to sponsor a care home group’s challenge to climb the UK’s three peaks.
The Charity Challenge
Millennium Care UK took on the three peaks challenge to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. In fact, the team tackled Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in May, June and July respectively.
Millennium Care, based in the North West, operate five care homes and is developing a sixth, which ACA has designed.
The Results
So far, employees have raised £3,610 for Alzheimer’s Society, which has unparalleled knowledge and experience of addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia.
Amelia Caruso, Director at ACA, said:
“ACA wanted to support Millennium Care in their quest to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. We are so proud of their results!”
Omair Haider, Managing Director at Millennium Care, said:
“Without key sponsors, such as ACA, we wouldn’t have been able to have the impact we craved. Giving back to a charity so close to our hearts provides us with great comfort.
“Having the backing of organisations and individuals we work with on a day-to-day basis is important to us. We’re keen on creating longstanding partnerships with those who share our values and ethos and ACA certainly do that.”
Sue Clarke, Alzheimer’s Society Area Manager for Greater Manchester said:
“At Alzheimer’s Society we rely on the generous support of organisations. Around 900,000 people are currently living with dementia in the UK and one in three of us will develop dementia. But there is hope, with new drug therapies, which is a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel. We’re so proud of Alzheimer’s Society’s role in funding the early years of that research. Our investment in R&D happens via the support of organisations and individual fundraising endeavours.
Thank you very much for your support and your fantastic Three Peaks fundraising efforts.”
