ACA was appointed to produce a design for a single-storey rear detached house extension and internal remodelling of an existing detached house in Hessle, East Yorkshire.
ACA’s designs have improved the accommodation on the ground floor, retaining the existing structures and integrating a single-storey rear extension, producing a net increase in gross internal area of 13.5sqm.
The extension’s design carefully respects the appearance of the existing property. Detailing and matching materials complement the original dwelling and are sympathetic to its character. A flat roof with parapet wall completed with pressed metal profile coping and a modern door composition identifies the contemporary design addition.
