ACA worked closely with Shared Agenda Ltd to develop a master plan and strategy that will concentrate the administrative offices of health centres across the City of Hull into a more central and relevant space. The scheme aims to maximise the productivity of the administration side of the health service.
The site is located approximately 1.2 miles South-West of Hull City Centre. The development comprises of a three-storey high building, car park and associated landscaping. The design aims to enhance the street scene and add character to the immediate surrounding area.
Materials were carefully selected to respect the local context and introduce an innovative take in the use and proportion of the proposed materials. The exterior will be clad with bronze and silver coloured metal cladding panels, creating a visually striking building which will act as a beacon for regeneration in the area. A light buff coloured high brick plinth enclosing the open plan office at the ground floor is designed to lead the eye towards the main entrance. The design includes several living feature walls that complement the proposed landscaping vernacular and create a healthy and relaxing environment.
