Recently ACA were associate sponsors at a local property and construction event in Hull.
As architects and interior designers in Hull and East Riding it is important for us to keep up to date with what is happening in the region.
In fact, MET Events organised ‘The Development and Regeneration of Hull City Region” event at the Holiday Inn Hull Marina.
In attendance were people from the local authority and key corporate leaders from near and further afield.
Firstly, attendees enjoyed a welcome drink outside on the marina and made the most of the opportunity to network.
Then, there was a further opportunity to network over lunch.
Following lunch, the guest speakers delivered their presentations.
Main sponsor, Balfour Beatty, spoke about the different phases and challenges of their current major project on the A63.
After, Garry Taylor, Associate Director for Major Projects, Culture & Place at Hull City Council discussed current and planned activities and investments in Hull.
Some key takeaways from the local council plan were: the importance of the quality of design, repopulating the city centre and creating a circular economy.
Overall, Amelia, Alex and Ollie enjoyed this property and construction event.
Particularly, it was useful to have an update on what is happening in Hull.
