ACA has produced a feasibility study and options appraisal for a Retirement Village Hull, which specialises in Dementia and Long Term Condition (LTC) Care in Hull.

The design includes: 6 holiday cottages, 36 retirement apartments, communal facilities, day-treatment clinic facilities and a 36 bed facility for challenging behaviour.

The proposed masterplan is inspired by the medieval Italian town of San Gimignano in Italy, where a system of Piazzas and landscaped areas form the heart of the community.

The Village is designed as a vibrant facility for older people, which is sensitive to the needs of the individual and responsive to its settings. It offers a comfortable, functional space that is legible, person-centred, easily accessible and easy to maintain.

“Having an in-depth knowledge of care environments, ACA consistently strives to provide sensitive, innovative and patient orientated design solutions.”
