Successful Planning Approval Achieved for an Acquired Brain Injury Unit Refurbishment and Extension

ACA are proud to share that planning approval has been achieved for the refurbishment and extension of Eden View Acquired Brain Injury Unit in Bottisham, on behalf of Swanton Care and Community Ltd.

The £2m proposals include the erection of a two-storey extension to provide ten additional beds comprising: a ground floor extension to provide additional bedrooms; a lounge and services accommodation and a first floor extension for similar requirements.

Construction works will begin imminently.

In the words of Dr Alison Rose-Quirie, CEO at Swanton Care and Community Ltd, “We are extremely pleased with the designs ACA have produced for our project and the smooth and successful planning approval that has been achieved. ACA’s investigative and proactive approach, working with our Operations team, has creatively overcome conflicting challenges associated with our need for clinical space, without unduly impacting on the nearby listed buildings. Throughout the whole process, ACA have been receptive to ideas from other consultants to address value engineering requirements”.
