What an exciting and momentous year 2024 has been for us! Celebrating ACA’s 10 year anniversary this year has given us the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and the bright future ahead.
ACA’s 10 year Anniversary and Book launch
ACA’s ACA’s 10 year anniversary celebrations were a major highlight, marking a decade of creativity, collaboration and commitment to excellence. As part of this milestone, we were thrilled to launch our very first book, Design and Meditation, which captures the essence of our approach to mindful, innovative design. It has been incredibly well-received and we’re proud to share our journey and philosophy with a wider audience.
Team Bonding
2024 also brought some fun and engaging team-building events that helped strengthen our bond as a team. From testing our aim during an exciting archery day to solving puzzles together at the Beverley Escape Rooms, these experiences have reminded us that working together, both in and out of the office, is key to our success.
Awards
In addition to these celebrations, 2024 has been a year of professional achievements. We were honoured to win the East Riding of Yorkshire Chairman’s Award in the Community Business category, a testament to our dedication to creating spaces that benefit both people and communities. This recognition fuels our motivation to continue making a positive impact through our work.
Community
At ACA, our commitment to giving back to the community remains a cornerstone of our values.
This year, we continued to sponsor the HEY Children’s University and two NHS Staff Awards, including Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust’s Volunteer of the Year Award
and the Humber Partnership NHS Golden Stars awards.
We also signed up to the SMILE Foundation Smile365, supporting vital local initiatives and attended their annual ball.
Operations Director Amelia continues to share her business experience by dedicating time to the FEO 360 and 360 Plus programs, empowering small business owners to grow, while also serving as a board member for the HEY Business Board.
Meanwhile Managing Director Alex has joined the Future Humber Board, contributing to regional development efforts.
We have strengthened our partnerships with schools and colleges, hosting seven work experience students to inspire the next generation, and strive to make a positive impact beyond our architectural work. We believe in building stronger communities, not just through design, but through compassion and action, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful work in the year ahead.
Projects
We are also proud of the incredible projects we’ve completed this year. Notably, our interior design project for Connexin Live Hull’s Live Lounge allowed us to showcase our expertise in crafting premium, tailored spaces.
Our success extended into planning as well, with 100% first-time planning approval on projects, including a new teaching block at South Hunsley School with Helix Construction and the Porritt Care Home on behalf Millennium Care.
Certifications
In 2024 ACA was delighted to announce that we are now an approved supplier under the Pagabo Professional Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). We are excited about the opportunities this brings and look forward to collaborating with new partners through the Pagabo network. This achievement reinforces our commitment to innovation, excellence, and creating positive outcomes for the communities we serve.
We are also achieved the renewal of ISO 9001, 14001 and Acclaim certified under an Integrated Management System.
