As Ambassadors for Hull & East Riding Children’s University, Architectural Assistant Hazar enjoyed an ACA sponsored trip with local children and here, she tells us all about what happened on the day.
As we gathered to embark on our journey, the children were buzzing with energy and enthusiasm.
We went into Hull city centre and spent the morning learning about famous people who have been ‘Ambassadors’ of the City. The children were given the task of asking locals about their favourite people in Hull, what they love about the city, and how it could be improved, sharing very interesting answers they received. The children also did research online to find out more about these Ambassadors.
Not only did we uncover the hidden gems of Hull’s cultural heritage, but ACA helped to inspire a new generation from Hull & East Riding Children’s University to embrace their city’s rich history and celebrate the achievements of those who came before them.
Hazar adds:
“I want to express how truly remarkable the staff from Hull & East Riding Children’s University are, and how their dedication to helping these children is incredibly inspiring. Being ACA’s Ambassador for the day was an incredible opportunity for me. Interacting with the children, seeing their laughter and witnessing their enjoyment of the activities made the day incredibly worthwhile. Additionally, we gained valuable insights into Hull’s history, which only deepened our pride in calling it home.”
