ACA would like to share that we have received planning approval for a Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Scunthorpe!
AND…this exciting project will start on site next week!
The Project
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust appointed ACA for the prestigious new build development.
Primarily, the aim is to produce a £19m ‘one-stop shop’ to cut NHS waiting times.
Above all, the centre will provide diagnostic services including MRI / CT scanners, ultrasound, X-rays and blood tests.
Furthermore, the state-of-the-art facility will be in Scunthorpe town centre, benefitting the local community. GP or consultants will refer their patients to the centre.
Moreover, it will operate in parallel to existing diagnostic departments at Scunthorpe General Hospital for inpatients and those requiring emergency care.
Above all, our design focuses on providing healthcare comforts and clinical excellence to benefit the patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
Interestingly, the concept takes inspiration from the wave silhouettes of the ultra-sound tissue harmonic imaging.
For instance, the architectural lines and curves lead the sight to a tree on the terrace balancing on the cantilever.
Successful Planning Approval Outcome!
First of all, ACA is proud of its 100 per cent successful planning approval rate!
So, we were thrilled once again to gain planning approval at the first application.
Now approved, we can progress forward turning the concept design into construction drawings.
