After a successful Lakeland EMI Care Home design, Millennium Care Group has appointed ACA to design a Porritt Care Home, a new-build, state-of-the-art Care Home at Lavender Hills Care Home in Ramsbottom.
Porritt Care Home – The Brief
The brief was to accommodate 36 new bedrooms and 4 Extra Care apartments to form a Care Village at Lavender Hills Care Home, designed to be fully accessible, including the garden areas.
Porritt Care Home – The Design
ACA’s design provides several communal areas comprising of a guest suite, meeting rooms, staff offices, laundry, separate lounge areas, dining/ activity room, kitchen, hair salon and hydrotherapy suite with changing places facility. In addition, external landscaping and car parking is included.
The apartments benefit from balcony areas to provide residents with a private external space.
The central terrace offers a number of activities, such as raised flower beds and bird watching huts in addition to seating bays protected by pergolas and small benches to encourage spontaneous interaction amongst the residents and the visiting community.
